The Formula 1 world can be ruthlessly competitive, and recently, the fans got a glimpse of how high the stakes are. Just because the Red Bull executives were not happy with Nyck deVries‘ underwhelming performances, they threw him out mid-season to take up Daniel Ricciardo , a much more experienced driver, in his place. And Max Verstappen, who is currently reigning on the top of the F1 Standings right now, is obviously one of the most competitive of all the twenty racers taking part in the highest league of motorsports.
For Verstappen, no matter whether it is a real Grand Prix that he is taking part in, or if it is a virtual race, the purpose is always to win. As the F1 world is currently enjoying a break after the British GP, the Dutchman decided to take part in a sim racing competition this weekend. And during the race, Max Verstappen got embroiled in a massive incident with a fellow racer Sven Haase.
The internet had no idea that Max Verstappen would participate unannounced in a sim racing competition, but they got whiff of the incident when he got disqualified from it. Then, they sleuthed out the exact incident that resulted it Max getting the boot because of his misdemeanor, and it involved him “shunting” Sven Haase purposefully in revenge as Sven had pushed into his car previously.

Max Verstappen took part in a sim race where Sven Haase was also one of the participants. Haas is infamous as the “dirty driver” whom fans believe “had it coming” as he has been banned from several races for unlawfully crashing into his opponents. During Sunday’s competition, Haase falsely believed Max pushed him off at the final chicane. In retaliation, Haase slammed into Verstappen’s sim race teammate. The teammate then hit the Dutchman. “Annoyed” with the scene, Max rammed his car into Haase’s, thus getting disqualified for purposefully causing a crash.
Here is what the fans have said about the incident–
This is not the first time that Max Verstappen has been quite miffed during one of his sim racing sessions. Earlier this year, he took part in the virtual Le Mans with Team Redline. But during the course of tbe race, he was leading for a considerable time when a connectivity problem caused his screen to go blank completely. He ranted about the event being a “clown show” on his Twitch channel and vowed to never take part in it again.
