Stefanos Tsitsipas is known to be one of the most talented players on the tour. The Greek started making the headlines in 2019, when he reached the semifinals of the Australian Open. He scored a famous victory over defending champion Roger Federer, which was a sign of big things to follow.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has kept his private life well away from the public eye. The Greek was in a four-year relationship with Theodora Petalas, until their split in 2023. Theodora was born to a German father and a Greek mother, and is based permanently in New York.

In an interview dated to 2021, Stefanos Tsitsipas broke silence on his relationship with Theodora Petalas. The former couple first met in New York in 2019, and have been dating ever since, until their split up in March 2023.

There is not much known as to why the pair decided to part ways after being together for almost four years. However, being involved in a long distance relationship could be one of the prime reasons for their split. Theodora Petalas works in London as a junior strategist for a branding and a marketing agency.

Theodora Petalas has a pretty strong family background, as her father is a businessman. Their family has ties to the Dutch Royal House. Before deciding to relocate to the UK, she pursued studies in the New York University. She graduated with with a bachelor of arts and a master of science.

It seems that the couple were on completely different paths in their life, with Stefanos Tsitsipas spending majority of her time on the ATP Tour. The Greek tennis star has probably decided to channelize all his energy on his career at the moment.
