Becky Lynch issues a challenge to former WWE Divas Champion

Raw Women's Champion

Becky Lynch continued her dominance as the Raw Women’s Champion in 2022. The Man along with Liv Morgan delivered a memorable bout at WWE Day 1. In the final moments of the PPV, Morgan went for the ObLivion, but Lynch countered it into a Manhandle Slam for the win. With Lynch picking up a clean win over Morgan, it is quite unlikely that the feud will be continuing any longer.

Since returning to WWE at Summerslam 2021, Lynch has been a Champion. She had pinned the then-Champion Bianca Belair in just 26 seconds to win the Smackdown Women’s title. She later exchanged the title with Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s title – due to the WWE Draft 2021.

While the wait to win her first WWE title got longer for Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch has already set her eyes on her next opponent. She recently issued a challenge to former WWE Divas Champion – who made her return to the main roster at Day 1. Beth Phoenix returned during the Edge vs The Miz match. Lynch tweeted – “So…wanna fight sometime?”

While the feud between the Glamazon and The Man sounds really interesting, Beth Phoenix will be focusing on her mixed Tag Team match feud. She is expected to team up with her husband to challenge The Miz and Maryse. As soon as Phoenix announced her break from NXT commentary, it was being speculated that she was gearing up to make her in-ring return.

Who could be Becky Lynch’s next challenger?

Bliss and Lynch

The Raw Women’s division is stacked with some massive Superstars like Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. But it is unlikely that either of them would against Lynch next. While Ripley is occupied in the Tag Team division with Nikki A.S.H., fans have seen a lot of Belair vs Lynch already.

This could mean that Alexa Bliss could make her return to Raw and straight up go after Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s title. Bliss has been teasing her return to the company for several weeks now and it was expected that she would show up at Day 1 but that didn’t happen. The WWE Universe continues to wait for the Goddess’ return.
