Over the years, WWE has given several Superstars to the professional wrestling industry. While some Superstars like John Cena and Batista have gone on to pursue new careers, some global stars like Randy Orton and The Undertaker continued to perform for WWE.
With no barometer to judge the Superstars, everyone has their own opinion on the “best wrestler in the world.” In a recent interview with The Hannibal TV, Tom Prichard was asked whom he thinks is the best wrestler in the world.
Prichard named Brock Lesnar as the best wrestler in the world today, and current Universal Champion Roman Reigns as a close second.
“Well, he’s not in any company right now but Brock Lesnar, and I also have to go with Roman Reigns, for sure. Brock because he’s authentic. Roman Reigns is authentic too but it took him a little while to come into his real personality and let him be him. He’s authentic but Brock Lesnar is probably the guy, closer to what Johnny Valentine used to say, ‘I may not be able to make them believe in wrestling but I sure as hell can make them believe in me’ and that is where Brock is right now. He’s one of those guys, when he walks to the ring he’s unpredictable, he’s dangerous…Even though he’s not with anybody right now, he’s probably the biggest star,” mentioned Prichard.
“Again, I’ll say Roman Reigns after that. Probably not on the same level but they’re different. That’s another thing that is missing, that unpredictability where you go not knowing what’s going to happen,” added Prichard.
Roman Reigns’ current WWE run
WWE returned to WWE at Summerslam 2020, after a brief break. Since then, he has been on a run of a lifetime as a Heel character. He has become the face of the company and is delivering one great feud after another.
The Tribal Chief, along with the assistance of his Special counsel, Paul Heyman and Jey Uso, are currently the best faction on WWE. He is currently involved in a feud with Cesaro, during which a feud with Seth Rollins has been teased too. Interestingly, Paul Heyman has stood with both, Lesnar and Reigns, while they were in the middle of a massive push.
If his current run is considered, Reigns will definitely be the best wrestler in the world for numerous individuals.
