Brock Lesnar to drop the title at Royal Rumble? The current champion is not scheduled for Elimination Chamber 2022

The current WWE Champion Brock Lesnar is scheduled to defend his WWE Championship against the #No1Contender Bobby Lashley at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view which is lined up to air on Saturday, 29th January 2022.

Bobby earned this opportunity by winning a Fatal-4-way match on the immediate RAW following WWE Day 1. Since then, the build for this long-awaited match has been just perfect. A savage Brock Lesnar and a fierce Bobby Lashley, what more can we ask for?

Is Brock Lesnar dropping the title at Royal Rumble?

Brock Lesnar, the reigning WWE Champion, will not be competing at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on February 19th. The event, which comes after WWE’s Royal Rumble on January 29th, has lately had a number of notable names added to its lineup.

Bobby Lashley, Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and others have already been announced, however, Brock Lesnar, Lashley’s Royal Rumble opponent, is noteworthy by his omission. Brock will defend his WWE Championship in a contest against Lashley, but with the current champion not scheduled for the Elimination Chamber event which is to be held in Saudi Arabia, there is even more skepticism about the outcome and whether Lesnar will win.

The fact that Lashley is on the card ahead of Lesnar does not imply that the Almighty will win the Royal Rumble. Brock has a history of missing pay-per-view tournaments when holding a major championship.

Saudi Arabia to host the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view

On February 19th, 2022, the annual event will be held at the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will be WWE’s third Premium Live Event of the year and the first in Saudi Arabia in 2022. Despite the fact that no matches have been advertised, the titular stipulation will undoubtedly appear at least once.

WWE was rumoured to be changing the name of the chamber to eliminate any negative connotations with the phrase, but it now appears that they are keeping it the same.
