Charlotte Flair has been one of the most controversial Superstars on the WWE roster in recent times. The 13-time WWE World Champion has been one of the top Superstars for the company, yet in the last couple of weeks she was making the news for all the wrong reasons. The Queen won the Raw Women’s Champion, latest addition to her long list of achievements, after defeating Rhea Ripley.

But weeks after her win, Flair was drafted to the Blue brand, whereas Becky Lynch – who held the Smackdown Women’s Championship was drafted to the Red brand. Initially, WWE teased a double Championship feud between them, but ended up going ahead with a simple title exchange. But led to one of the most controversial segments in WWE recent times.

While the plan was to make Becky Lynch look stronger through this segment, Flair disagreed with this angle and went off-script. She threw the title on live TV, leading to a heated backstage exchange between Flair, Lynch and Sonya Deville. In fact, Charlotte Flair had to be escorted out of the building. Consequently, Flair was taken off some of her WWE commitments, indicating some differences between her and the management.

But now, all seems to be back on track. WWE decided to not take some serious actions against Flair, reportedly because removing her from the roster, would essentially mean that they hand a major Superstar to All Elite Wrestling. Soon Flair was back on dominating the roster and is now even main-eventing the WWE live events.

WWE recently toured the United Kingdom, where the London Live event was main-evented by Flair and Sasha Banks. The Smackdown Women’s Championship was on the line, which Flair managed to retain. “Always the Main Event,” tweeted the Smackdown Women’s Champion with a photo alongside Sasha Banks.

WWE is gearing up for their penultimate pay per view of 2021 – Survivor Series. The Champions from both the brands will be colliding against each other, for brand supremacy. Hence, by virtue of being the Champions of Raw and Smackdown, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will be seen in action at the event.

This match could easily be the match of the night, benefitting from the real-life heat between the two Superstars. We have already seen some build for the Roman Reigns vs Big E match, but are yet to see any angle on the Lynch – Flair match.
