Bianca Belair gains momentum ahead of WWE Crown Jewel

WWE Crown Jewel is less than a fortnight away. While the build-up of the event is not as massive as the other WWE pay-per-views, but the card is certainly stacked. While the main-event is certainly going to be the Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, another potential show-stealer is going to be the Smackdown Women’s Championship match.

Becky Lynch will be putting her title on the line in a Triple Threat match against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair. The feud had kicked off at WWE Summerslam, when Lynch returned and immediately dethroned Belair as the Smackdown Women’s Championship. The EST of WWE earned her rematch at WWE Extreme Rules, but that match was cut short too, due to an interruption by Sasha Banks.

Since then Banks has been inserted into the feud and three Superstars have been at loggerheads. On the latest episode of WWE Smackdown, a contract-signing segment was scheduled between all of them. While the contract wasn’t signed, Bianca Belair emerged as the strongest Superstar, heading into the match at WWE Crown Jewel.

Before the contract could be signed, a brawl broke out between the three Superstars. Belair picked up the other two. Banks fell in the table and Lynch was hit with a KOD onto Banks, and the two Superstars crashed through the table! This gives Belair enough momentum heading into the Saudi Arabia event.

In addition to the Smackdown Women’s Championship and the Universal Championship match, four more matches have been announced so far for the WWE Crown Jewel card. A total of 4 Championship matches will be taking place and two matches will be having added stipulation.

  • Smackdown Women’s Championship match – Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair
  • Raw Tag Team Championship match – RK-Bro vs AJ Styles and Omos
  • WWE Championship match – Big E vs Drew McIntyre
  • Goldberg vs Bobby Lashley (No Holds Barred)
  • Edge vs Seth Rollins (Hell in a Cell)
