“Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre continues to dominate the Blue Brand
McIntyre
Drew McIntyre has been one of the biggest Superstars for WWE throughout the Thunderdome Era. If there was one Superstar who was as pushed as the Universal Champion Roman Reigns – it was the Scottish Warrior. After a dominant run on the Red brand, McIntyre was recently drafted to Smackdown in the WWE Draft 2021.
It has been just two weeks since the Draft came into effect and McIntyre has already started dominating the Blue brand. In the season premiere of Smackdown, he had issued an open challenge, which was answered by Sami Zayn. The former WWE Champion picked up a dominant win over Zayn, after a brutal bout.
This week once again, McIntyre issued an open challenge, which was answered by Mustafa Ali. McIntyre once again managed to pick up a dominant win, with a submission win over Ali. His run on Smackdown continues, which is expected to culminate in a feud against the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
Drew McIntyre’s dominant run started at WWE Royal Rumble 2020, which he eventually won. He went on to defeat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 36 to win his first WWE Championship. He was the Champion for a major part of 2020 and lost it only once – Randy Orton, and won it back within a couple of weeks.
Drew McIntyre will eventually go on to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns
Considering the recent dominance of Drew McIntyre on the Blue brand, it is quite evident that WWE is building him up for an eventual feud with Universal Champion Roman Reigns. In fact, in order to counter Reigns’ guillotine choke, it seems that McIntyre will be using his own Kimura Lock.
Roman Reigns is currently gearing up for Survivor Series, where he might be facing WWE Champion Big E. Post this feud, we might see him feud against McIntyre, after which he might continue his feud against Brock Lesnar.
