WWE is known to be competitive when it comes to going head-to-head with other wrestling promotions. A similar type of incident took place recently, where the Stamford-based promotion filed a trademark for a popular catchphrase of a former WWE Champion who is now in AEW.

The star against WWE is Bryan Danielson. As per F4WOnline, Danielson filed a trademark for his famous ‘YES YES YES’ chant earlier this year in July. Days after the application, WWE sent him a legal letter for infringement of contract, despite the fact that it was a free trademark. Later on, Danielson’s application was abandoned, and WWE entered this trademark war on September 30.

‘YES YES YES’ was a popular slogan of the f.k.a. Daniel Bryan while he was working in WWE. When he made his transition to AEW, this was gradually abandoned by the legend. In July, it seemed like Bryan Danielson had some plans to revitalize the catchphrase ahead of his match at All In yet again. However, now it seems the plans were called off.

This move by the Stamford-based promotion was surprising given that Danielson has always spoken well about his time in WWE since leaving. However, there are chances that this was a step towards burning the bridges with The American Dragon for a potential WWE return down the line
