Cody Rhodes will reportedly be a part of WrestleMania 38
WWE is making it obvious to followers that Cody Rhodes is on his way back, and it appears that they are pulling a leaf from AEW’s playbook. The WWE commentary team has been teasing Cody’s WWE return for the past couple of weeks now and it looks pretty evident that the hottest AEW star is definitely on his way home.

There were spoilers on CM Punk’s television program prior to his AEW debut, and there were teases before Jeff Hardy’s AEW debut too. It was a subtle method of informing fans that these superstars were on their way without actually stating so. WWE appears to be doing the same thing with Rhodes.
Last night on Monday Night Raw, there were multiple Cody Rhodes parallels, as observed on RAW last Monday. In addition to Corey Graves’ remarks about Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania dreams being “dashed” and his “dream” becoming a “nightmare,” Jimmy Smith also made a reference to “The Colossus of Rhodes” during Commander Azeez’s entrance earlier in the show.
Damian Priest also hit Finn Balor with the Reckoning finisher, which is akin to the Cross Rhodes. Damian hadn’t used it in a couple of weeks, but he did last night. There were also blatant mentions to Cody Rhodes on WWE’s website, as shown in the screenshot given in the tweet below. Seth Rollins’ storyline is that he doesn’t have a path to WrestleMania as of yesterday night, but Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio stated that Rhodes is on his way in and that Rhodes vs. Rollins is still the plan. Last Friday, Rhodes vs. Rollins was mentioned internally, and WWE stated last night that they are optimistic the match will take place.
We might get a better and clearer picture as to what the situation is as Wrestlemania 38 approaches. As of now, all we know is Cody is back home and Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania 38 is on the cards.
