“We are the Golden Attraction”: Mandy Rose retains NXT Women’s Championship

Mandy Rose is one of the biggest Superstars on the NXT roster. Currently holding the NXT Women’s Championship, surprisingly, this is her first ever WWE title reign. Rose had started her career as a fitness and figure competitor,, before become a bodybuilding competitor. In 2015, she secured a WWE contract after coming second in the Tough Enough competition.

Rose had quite a brief run on NXT back then, before she was moved to the main roster in 2017. She was part of the Absolution faction – which included Paige and Sonya Deville. But this was a short-lived faction and Rose was since seen in a Tag Team named Fire and Desire alongside Deville.

One of the biggest and most notable feuds of her main roster run was against Sonya Deville. At Summerslam 2020 – they collided in a Loser Leaves WWE match, where Mandy Rose emerged victorious. She then formed a team with Dana Brooke but that wasn’t quite successful. In 2021, a highlight of Rose’s career came when she moved back to the NXT roster.

On the NXT roster, Mandy Rose formed her own stable called the Toxic Attraction – which features Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. Last week on NXT, Jayne and Dolin managed to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship from Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai – after interference from Rose!

Kai was enraged and challenged Rose for the NXT Women’s title. On the latest episode of the colorful brand, the Championship was put on the line. But with Jayne and Dolin present at the ringside, Kai was clearly outnumbered. As a result Rose managed to retain the title!

Mandy Rose’s dominance on NXT continues

With Mandy Rose managing the NXT Women’s Championship, every member of Toxic Attraction continues to hold Gold. It is quite an achievement for a stable and this feat is currently held by not only Toxic Attraction currently but on the main roster – Bloodline holds a similar record.

Last week, the stable went as far as claiming themselves to be the “Golden Attraction”. In a backstage interview, Dolin mentioned, “Whether you love us, whether you hate us, understand we work hard for what we have. We are here to stay, we are here to stay Golden Attraction.”
