#5 Dolph Ziggler

During 2012, Dolph Ziggler was the rising star of WWE. He was the best performer at Survivor Series, lasted the longest in Royal Rumble and even won the Money in the Bank briefcase. Despite being a Heel during that time, Ziggler received a massive pop from the crowd.

Alberto del Rio, who was the Champion during that time, was lying vulnerable in the ring, when Ziggler ran down with Big E and AJ Lee. While Ziggler’s reign as a Champion isn’t quite popular, his cash-in certainly was.

#4 Rob Van Dam

RVD’s cash-in of the Money in the Bank contract remains to be the only successful cash-in that was announced way ahead of time. RVD challenged Cena for the WWE Championship at the One Night Stand PPV.

RVD had the home advantage in the Hammerstein Ballroom, where the ECW fans roared in his favour. There was even a sign which read “If Cena wins, we riot.”

#3 Dean Ambrose

Money in the Bank 2016, was the perfect moment for Dean Ambrose in terms of storytelling. He won the contract and cashed it in on the same night. Ambrose started the night with the ladder match win, and cashed it in during the main event.

Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns to become the Champion. But Dean Ambrose soon ran in to cash in his contract. He defeated Rollins to win the title, allowing every single member of The Shield to hold the title on the same night.

#2 Edge

The first-ever Money in the Bank cash-in is bound to be an all-time great moment in the history of the stipulation. The then Champion, John Cena, had been in a 30-minute long battle at Elimination Chamber, Vince McMahon announced that Edge will be cashing in his title.

 The Rated R Superstar speared Cena twice to be crowned the New Champion. The cash-in also set the tone for opportunistic theme of the Money in the Bank contracts.  

#1 Seth Rollins

The best Money in the Bank cash-in took place at the grandest stage of all, Wrestlemania. Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were battling in the main event of the Showcase of Immortals for the Championship. Despite losing earlier during the event, Rollins appeared again and cashed in his MITB contract.

This was the first instance where the contract was cashed in during a match. Rollins made it a triple threat match, and pinned Reigns for the title. It was an innovative way of getting the title off Lesnar and at the same time, it did not hurt Reigns’ character.
