Christian’s record in WWE Money in the Bank ladder matches

WWE Money in the Bank is returning early this year. The ladder matches for the MITB briefcase are the highlights of the event. The PPV is popular for giving rise to WWE Superstars who can dominate the roster throughout the year.
But the success stories are just one side of the coin. The Superstars who participate in the match just to provide iconic high-flying moments, often miss out on the limelight that they deserve. One such Superstar is former WWE wrestler – Christian.
The Superstar appeared in the stipulation matches with a record 6 appearances – which is second in WWE history, after Kane and Kofi Kingston’s 7 appearances. Despite his record performances, Christian failed to win the briefcase even once.
Christian never won the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase
Christian made his first-ever Money in the Bank appearance in the inaugural match, in 2005. His best friend and Tag Team partner Edge, went on to win the briefcase that year. His final appearance came in 2013 at the WWE Championship Money in the Bank match – in which Randy Orton had emerged victorious.
Since then, Christian announced his retirement after suffering an injury. But he made a surprise in-ring return at WWE Royal Rumble 2021. His and Edge’s reunion during the match, led to the speculation that we might again see the fan-favorite Tag Team in action.
But Christian went ahead and shocked the wrestling world, when he made an appearance on All Elite Wrestling. Since making his debit for the new promotion – Christian has wrestled in 5 matches and currently has an undefeated record. 4 of these were singles matches, where as one was a Tag Team match.
WWE Money in the Bank 2021 airs live on 18th July, 2021.
