5 Superstars with the most number of appearances at Summerslam

Summerslam has been a land of opportunities for every wrestler. The event is one of the four biggest pay-per-views for WWE. This list includes the grandest stage of WWE, WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series.
Summerslam was first hosted by WWE in the year 1992 and has been making history since then. The event is also called the ‘Biggest party of the Summer’ and is hosted every year. This year, the pay-per-view will also be shown in the theatres which would be the first time for a WWE event.

The 34th edition of the pay-per-view has been building up very well with dream matches coming true. The event this year would feature top superstars like John Cena, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Edge, Goldberg, Bobby Lashley, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and many more.
Here’s the list of the 5 wrestlers who have made the most appearances at WWE Summerslam
#5 Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Kane, and Shawn Michaels (11 WWE Summerslam appearances)

Some WWE superstars are considered all time greats. Though the list is very long, some names included in it are the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, the Demon Kane, the Hitman Bret Hart, and the Highlight of the Night Chris Jericho.
One thing common in all of these superstars is that all of them have made the same number of the Summerslam appearances and may not get another chance to be at the event. All the four men have made 11 Summerslam matches and any of them are unlikely to make it 12th.
Bret Hart has the most number of wins amongst these men (7) followed by Kane and Shawn Michaels (6), and then Chris Jericho (5). Jericho on the other hand has the most number of losses (6) with others making it tie at (4).
#4 Triple H and Edge (13 WWE Summerslam appearances)

Triple H and Edge are two of the most dominating and impactful superstars in WWE history. The two have had great matches and have also had rivalries with each other. Though the two superstars are very old and WWE Hall of Famers, both the men are seen in WWE matches.
Both the WWE Hall of Famers have the same number of WWE Summerslam appearances (13) and have been one of the best superstars in Summerslam history. Their matches have been one of the most devastating ones and are considered Mr. Summerslam.
Edge has won 11 out of the 13 matches he has played and has lost only 2. On the other hand, the King of Kings has won 8 matches from his list of 13 and has lost 5. Keeping in mind the current Summerslam match card, Edge could be going to the third position.
#3 John Cena (14 WWE Summerslam appearances)

The leader of Cenation is on the third position on the list of most Summerslam appearances and could be going to the second one very soon. Cena has appeared at WWE Summerslam 14 times and has been one of the most unsuccessful superstars in the pay-per-view’s record.
John Cena, out of his 14 appearances, has won only 5 matches at the event and has lost 9. This makes him one of the most unsuccessful superstars in the pay-per-view which now cannot be turned around. Though his losses are more than his wins, he could be decreasing the gap between the two this year.
Cena will face Roman Reigns at the event this year and could be closing in as the Universal Champion with his 6th win at the event. Though things cannot be determined, it could be the last match for him at Summerslam.
#2 Randy Orton (15 WWE Summerslam appearances)

The Viper is considered a legend and nobody could deny this fact. Orton has been in the industry for decades and is on the second position in the list of most Summerslam appearances. But since he is an active wrestler and is not planning to retire for years now.
Orton has made 15 appearances at the event and will most probably move to the first spot with his 16th this year. The Legend Killer has won 7 out of his 15 appearances and lost 7 as well. One of the matches ended without any result with has left him with a record of 7-7-1.
#1 The Undertaker (16 WWE Summerslam appearances)

The Phenom is undoubtedly one of the most popular and accomplished superstars in the history of the company. Undertaker is considered a legend and is rarely hated by anyone. His accomplishments have made him an all time great which makes him a show stealer.
The Deadman has made the most number of appearances in the history of the event but could be ending up losing his record in the coming years. Out of his 16 appearances, he has won 10 matches from the event and has lost only 5. One of the matches ended in no result which makes him record 10-5-1.
