NXT’s last premium live event of the year featured a stacked card. One of the bangers that came out of the show was an instant classic between Dragon Lee and Dominik Mysterio.

The two stars went through a war to achieve glory as the NXT North American Champion. In a spectacular bout, Lee shocked the world as he captured his first championship in WWE.

The match had its moments and was highly built over a few weeks. After great reversals and counters, Dragon Lee executed a modified hurricane to achieve a pinfall victory over Dominik to capture the NXT North American Championship. Moreover, Lee’s hero and Dom’s father, Rey Mysterio, were also watching over the action from the ringside.

It was a bombshell for the fans, as Dragon was on the incessant course of losing. In addition to all this, The Master of 619 congratulated Lee after winning the match against his son and presented the title to him backstage. It might be a sign of the huge plans WWE has for the new champion.

As for Dominik, it was a huge loss. However, he had a great run as the champion and has delivered outstanding matches in his reign. He has achieved high success this year and capturing the NXT North American title was one of them. Although it is going to be interesting to see how the other Judgment Day members will react as Dom no longer has championship gold.

Dominik Mysterio lost his title defense against Dragon Lee after an outstanding performance at NXT Deadline. The two stars tore the house down and delivered a banger. Even though Dom lost the championship, his Mami Rhea Ripley, expressed her love for him and supported him even after losing.

Moments after the match, Rhea Ripley posted a message for her Dom. She wrote that Dirty Dom is always the winner in her eyes. Although the last time Mysterio lost the title, the Eradicator yelled at him, which forced him to recapture the championship once again.
