WWE Universe was left stunned as the Second City Saint, CM Punk returned to WWE. Exploding the Allstate Arena in Chicago with excitement, the former WWE Champion seems like a blessing to the Stamford-based company. One piece of evidence to prove this is how he has become the highest t-shirt-selling star within just 5 days.
They say the numbers don’t lie. It seems they are highly in favor of the Best in the World. As reported on ‘X’, he has become the highest merchandise seller. He even surpassed the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns who had been ruling the WWE Shop for quite some time.
Punk has amazingly dwarfed another returning superstar. Randy Orton also made his triumphant return in the Men’s War Games Match. The Viper elated the fans as he once again graced the squared circle after one and a half years. Still, his merchandise sales couldn’t stall the momentum of the Best in the World.
For those who don’t know, CM Punk dropped a promo on this week’s Raw. In the concluding segment, Fans saw the former WWE Champion thanking everyone for keeping him in their memories despite being away for so long. Lastly, he departed by saying he was not here to make friends but to make money. It seems he is living up to that statement.
CM Punk’s WWE contract details revealed
The prayers were answered when CM Punk made his return. Wrestlers and fans were equally overwhelmed seeing him back in the Stamford-based company. Now many wonder, how long will they be able to see the Best in the World before his contract deal nears its end.
According to Sports Illustrated, his contract deal extends well after WrestleMania 40. While the exact number of days remains unknown, fans can be relaxed that they’ll see the Second City Saint at WrestleMania.
It has been in the rumors that Punk vs Rollins may headline for the Night 1 Main Event of WrestleMania. However, it seems that is not one of the favorites at this moment in the creative. In any case, it would be interesting to see Punk in his first WrestleMania after 2013.
