Andrade has teamed up with LWO in their battle against Legado Del Fantasma at WrestleMania 40.

Andrade appeared on SmackDown and pretended to be the heel guy for a while. However, he turned the tables by converting those initial boos into unending cheers. It was in the nick of time when Andrade closed down on the chance to align with the two biggest heel factions, The Judgment Day and Legado Del Fantasma. His attacking Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar was the reason for it.

It was a match between Zelina Vega and Elektra Lopez when the aforementioned drama took place. This was a final build towards the all-Mexican tag team match happening on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40. The match saw interruptions from Mysterio and Escobar that resulted in Lopez’s win. However, the drama unfolded later as the heel duo began their attack on the Master of 619.

Andrade, who had sided with Fantasma in that instance, looked hesitant to launch the attack on Rey. A few pushes from Dominik and Santos took over the ire of Andrade and made him do the inevitable. Rey’s former rival had understood LWO’s motive and got along with him. It was only for Andrade to turn fully babyface and help LWO and Rey in their mission to take down Legado Del Fantasma.

The aftermath was heartwarming, as Andrade reunited with Vega. The Mexican superstar shared hugs with Rey and Zelina to lift the Philly spirits. This gives LWO hope for having an additive member when it looks like Carlito is heading somewhere else and might not stay true to the babyface stable.

Andrade has replaced Dragon Lee in the tag team match at WrestleMania 40

A few moments before Zelina Vega vs. Elektra Lopez’s match, a backstage segment saw an injured Dragon Lee. LWO members quickly came in to check on the masked Mexican and prevent further damage. It is unknown who did the attack, but if the rumors are to be believed, then Carlito is the culprit.

The episode then proceeded to have Andrade join LWO. The Mexican star showed his interest in backing Mysterio and LWO by launching an attack on Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio. A backstage segment then showed Andrade would be the one to replace Dragon Lee and side with Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 40.

This puts Carlito again in a position where the spot for his Mania moment was robbed. It could have been the Carribean Cool and Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar only if Andrade had not been there. The storyline might play out in Carlito’s heel turn after WrestleMania 40 and have the second split in LWO.
