On the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made his shocking return. At the show, he locked horns with Austin Theory. Following the episode of SmackDown, Theory sent a 4-word message to The People’s Champ.
As Theory cut off Pat McAfee’s segment and hurled demeaning remarks at him, he was confronted by a returning Rock. The Brahma Bull brutally tore Theory apart with his words and laid him out with an electrifying People’s Elbow.
The 26-year-old superstar posted on X with an image of his opening segment with The Rock and wrote, “You’ll Remember The Name.” Moreover, he wrote, “#AustinTheoryLive,” brashly claiming that Friday Night SmackDown is his show. Theory had one of the biggest moments of his WWE career as he shared the ring with Dwayne Johnson.
Austin Theory has previously shared the ring with WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 38. The 26-year-old battled John Cena in a singles match the following year. There’s no doubt that WWE has been building Theory as one of the biggest stars for the future. His segments with the WWE icons are the epitome of it.
Dwayne Johnson comments on former WWE rival’s social media
Former WWE Champion The Rock unexpectedly showed up on the September 15 edition of SmackDown in Denver, Colorado. After opening the show on Friday night to overwhelming crowd response, the Hollywood mogul commented under a post by the WWE Hall of Famer and creative head, Triple H.
Following the opening segment of Smackdown featuring the former NFL punter, Pat McAfee, and The Rock, the Creative Head of WWE, Triple H took to his Instagram and shared a backstage photo with both stars.
The People’s Champ dropped a wholesome comment under his post and wrote, “I got you smile ?!! What a night brother love and appreciate you and the fam!!” expressing his ecstasy at being a part of the latest episode of SmackDown. Moreover, The Rock’s return has elated the WWE Universe as well.
