WWE superstar Becky Lynch officially became a Grand Slam Champion after defeating Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s title. The pair fought in a fantastic bout, which showcased Stratton’s in-ring capabilities to a larger audience. Recently, the newly crowned champion revealed how she felt about the 24-year-old’s talent.
In an interview with the NY Post, Lynch claimed that despite Tiffany Stratton’s natural skills, she has a long way to go to reach her level. Furthermore, the 7-time Women’s Champion believes that the Blockbuster Blonde is learning her way to the top, even more so after their match. Moreover, Becky Lynch explained how her looks and athleticism helped her even more.
“Because when you look like her and you’re athletic like her and you come in with a character and you’re easy to package to the moon — Here ya go, here’s everything handed on a silver platter. This is gonna be easy,” she said. However, Big Time Becks opined that when Tiffany comes across big superstars such as herself, the road to success becomes more complicated.
“So we are gonna see how much she rises to the occasion. She has everything in her toolbox to do that. If she wants to do it, the world is her oyster,” The Man further added. All in all, Becky Lynch has high hopes for Tiffany Stratton as she prepares herself for an Extreme Rules match against her at NXT: No Mercy.
Becky Lynch confirms report of her pushing to face Tegan Nox
Becky Lynch captured the NXT Women’s Championship on the September 12 edition of NXT. Moreover, it was the title that eluded her in her illustrious career. Straightaway, The Man reportedly planned to utilize the opportunity and call out women who were eager for a chance to shine on the main roster. Needless to say, Tegan Nox is one of those superstars.
Recently, Becky confirmed the rumor during an interview with the New York Post. The 36-year-old stated, “That was one of the things that I wanted to do with this title. I wanted to have open challenges for the women who haven’t been getting opportunities, women that have been in the back that love wrestling and that want an opportunity and haven’t been able to get it.”
Last week on RAW, Natalya answered Lynch’s open challenge despite proposed plans for Tegan Nox to appear. In the most recent episode, Nox defeated the veteran to officially become the #1 contender for the title. Therefore, stars who have sporadically appeared on television, such as Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Xia Li could be next in line to face Becky Lynch.
