Big E has been injured for almost two years now, and it looks like he is nowhere near a return. Many fans expected him to return at the Royal Rumble event, but that’s not the case. According to the former WWE Champion, he is still unsure about his future due to a career-threatening injury.

Big E spoke about his horrific injury with TMZ Reports and said he has to be smart and not rush for an in-ring return. It would be catastrophic for him to get in the ring at the risk of getting injured again and consequently being forced to retire.

The 37-year-old star suffered an injury at the hands of Ridge Holland on an episode of SmackDown in March 2022. Although fans showed anger and disappointment against Holland and hurled insults at him, Big E requested that they go easy on him. Moreover, he told fans to consider everything that happened as an accident.

Big E became WWE Champion by cashing his Money in the Bank contract on Bobby Lashley and defended his title like a true champion. The 37-year-old himself said that there’s no timeline set. As such, the wrestling fans will have to wait a little longer for the New Day member to make his return.

Former WWE Champion Big E reunited with his best friends and fellow New Day members Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. They were in NYC for a press day at The Drew Barrymore Show and shared some pics on social media.

Big E took to X and shared pictures from the show of them having a conversation and having a lot of fun. He revealed that their appearance on the show would air on January 22. Although the 37-year-old was injured throughout the year, he constantly made his presence felt by appearing on different shows. 

In Big E’s absence, the New Day members Kofi and Woods are currently involved in an intense rivalry with Imperium. Both teams are trying to legitimately destroy each other with back-and-forth attacks. With Imperium having a numerical advantage, Kofi and Woods would surely be missing their powerhouse member in the ring.
