The identity of Uncle Howdy has been a source of intrigue for fans for months. WWE was working on this storyline before the character was suddenly removed from television due to Bray Wyatt’s undisclosed injury. However, it turns out that WWE 2K23 has leaked his identity in their latest update.

It turns out that 2K23 has Uncle Howdy on the list of previous NXT Champions. It also shows that Howdy was a champion for 280 days in one reign. It is noteworthy to mention that Bo Dallas, brother of Bray Wyatt, also holds the same numbers as he held the NXT Champion title in 2013, winning it from Big E.

Bo Dallas was the third-ever champion to win the title and hold it for a total of 280 days. Therefore, according to the fans, the leak by 2K23 settles the rumors and confirms that Bo Dallas is Uncle Howdy. Initially, it was rumored that Uncle Howdy was Bray Wyatt’s alter-ego, similar to The Fiend. However, when the two characters appeared at the same time, fans started referring to Dallas as Howdy.

It is still unclear if the reveal was planned or if this was a mistake and the identity was revealed. However, fans are calling out WWE and 2K for announcing the identity of Bray Wyatt’s newest character in such a fashion. It was rumored that Wyatt might return at SummerSlam or during the build-up to the event. However, nothing has been teased or confirmed by the company about the return. It was reported that he might return to his feud with Bobby Lashley to continue his storyline.

Since returning to WWE in October, Bray Wyatt has failed to create an impact through his character. There were big plans for the former Universal Champion to recreate his iconic Wyatt family with some new members. Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select reported that WWE had plans to start this storyline after WrestleMania 39.

Sapp revealed that the new faction of Bray Wyatt will consist of Bo Dallas and Eric Young. They were reported to play Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House characters with some modifications. However, it looks like the plans have changed with the delay, as Young recently returned to Impact Wrestling after being reportedly released from WWE.

Therefore, fans will have to wait and see what happens with Bray Wyatt, as he might return soon. Wyatt has been on hiatus since March due to an undisclosed injury, which caused him to miss WrestleMania 39.
