Brock Lesnar is currently one of the big names of the WWE industry. A talent that rose from UFC was highly expected to do extremely well in WWE as well. Moreover, it was his heat time in UFC and it was a great opportunity for WWE to bring things on their side.
Brock Lesnar did not only step inside the squared circle. He played football at the NFL level. Prior to joining WWE, Lesnar made a big name for himself in the UFC. It was only after his successful run at the brand that he thought of showing off his skills inside the WWE ring.
Steve Austin did not fail to recognise where Brock came from and thus highly regards him as a professional sportsperson. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin was recently in an interview with Bill Apter where he spoke about the journey of Brock Lesnar in and outside the ring.
Steve Austin acknowledges Brock Lesnar’s professional journey
“That guy’s been in the game forever. He tried to make pro football. He never really played a whole lot of football. A couple times All-American in wrestling. Almost makes the football team, the Minnesota Vikings,” said Steve Austin. He also praised the attitude with which he entered UFC and became the UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Steve Austin feels that Brock Lesnar along with Roman Reigns are the biggest draws of the current WWE business. He believes that Lesnar has one of the most amazing multiple runs in the company. He is also confident that no one in the company will have a similar run as him.
Talking of Lesnar’s growth in the company, Steve Austin added,“That baby face run he had right before WrestleMania 38, when you have this big mass of an alpha male and he shows that vulnerability and people just clamor to him. So just a charismatic force of nature.”
Steve Austin was named ‘Stone Cold’ because of his attitude towards his fellow superstars and achievements. Brock Lesnar is lucky enough a superstar to be hearing these things about him from someone like Steve Austin. He also accepted the fact that he loves Brock Lesnar.
Brock Lesnar was last involved with Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Championship. The met for a face off at SummerSlam 2022 where Roman Reigns was able to successfully retain his title. Despite his loss, Brock was able to make it to the headlines for his iconic entry and astonishing moments from the match.
