When Cody Rhodes won the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble, many fans thought he would defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Not only fans, but AEW wrestler Bryan Danielson also thought he would finish his story at the Show of Shows. Unfortunately, that didn’t turn out as he wanted.

Bryan Danielson talked with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated and expressed how proud he was of Cody’s accomplishments. He admitted to sending a congratulations message to Cody Rhodes before his match at WrestleMania 39. However, when he was unable to capture the gold, he was appalled, like millions of other fans.

Interestingly, The American Dragon was also on a quest to dethrone Reigns. He battled The Tribal Chief and Edge in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 37, but unfortunately couldn’t get the job done. Danielson left WWE in 2021 after his contract expired. Unsurprisingly, he debuted for AEW and continued wrestling for other promotions like NJPW and ROH.

Meanwhile, Rhodes will try to defeat Reigns again at WrestleMania 40 in the main event of night 2. However, his focus would also be on the main event of Night 1, as he will team up with Seth Rollins to fight The Rock and Roman Reigns in a tag team match. If they lose, his title match will become Bloodline Rules, where anything goes. However, if they win, there will be no Bloodline during his title match. 

Cody Rhodes sends a message to CM Punk after WWE Raw

The latest episode of Monday Night Raw wasn’t the one to remember for Rhodes. The Rock and Roman Reigns destroyed him and Rollins again. However, it looks like he was in a good mood after all, as he sent a hilarious message to CM Punk on social media.

In a video shared by WWE on TikTok, The Best in the World was eating and analyzing the edible arrangement Rhodes made for the WWE makeup crew. However, on camera, he took the credit for making the arrangements himself. Punk then started analyzing the fruits based on his liking and thanked The American Nightmare.

The 38-year-old took no time to reply and was glad by the fact that at least somebody was eating from the fruit basket. The two stars logged heads before the Royal Rumble PLE and were the final two in the match. Ultimately, Rhodes threw Punk out to win it twice in a row. Fans are excited to see the two superstars meet again in the squared circle.
