Due to the ongoing WGA Strikes, the entire industry has stopped working. Multiple movies have been on hold for months. However, the independent film “Queen of the Ring: Based on the True Story of Mildred Burke” is not affected by the strikes. The movie is directed and written by Ash Avildsen and is based on a 2009 book of the same name. Emily Bett is scheduled to play the lead role.

However, a couple of WWE Superstars, namely Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan, were announced for the project. They were announced to play, June Byers and Clara Mortensen, respectively, as they were opponents for Burke during her career. Unfortunately, the latest reports indicate that the two former champions might not be on the project anymore.

PWInsider is reporting that the two superstars have been snubbed out of the roles and will not be appearing in the movie anymore. Interestingly, Morgan and Flair have been replaced by AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm and NWA Women’s Champion Kamille. The reason was not disclosed, as fans have been speculating about the changes since the announcement.

It is being speculated that Morgan was out of the picture due to the recent injuries she suffered on Raw at the hands of Rhea Ripley. On the other hand, Charlotte Flair is currently heavily involved in a women’s championship feud with Asuka and Bianca Belair. The three are set to clash at SummerSlam for Asuka’s title in a triple-threat match. So, therefore, her busy schedule might be a reason for her not to be a part of the movie anymore.

Liv Morgan was supposed to fight Rhea Ripley on a recent episode of Raw to settle scores with the champion. Ripley had injured Liv’s partner, Raquel Rodriguez, on a previous episode of Raw. Therefore, the match was announced, and Morgan was determined to fight her former Tag partner. However, it did not turn out the way she would have wanted.

When Liv Morgan was on her way to the ring for the match, Rhea Ripley jumped her and destroyed her. The match never started as Ripley brutalized Morgan’s arm, almost breaking it with his steel chair. Liv Morgan was also written off the show with the injuries.

Multiple sources later reported that Morgan was already injured, and the angle on the show was for her to be written off for months. She might need surgery, which might take months to recover from, so fans should expect her absence for some time in the future.
