“Fight me!” Former Divas Champion challenges Charlotte Flair for a singles match against her

The WWE Universe was shocked when Charlotte Flair showed up on the December 30^th edition of SmackDown. Flair defeated Ronda Rousey to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the seventh time in her career.

Charlotte Flair’s win made her a 14-time World Champion. Rousey had defended her championship against Raquel Rodriguez prior to losing it to Flair. The match involved help from Rousey’s best friend, Shayna Baszler.

This was Flair’s return to the company after a 7-month hiatus. The Queen had taken time off from wrestling to marry her long-time boyfriend and Former WWE Superstar Andrade El Idolo.

Charlotte Flair had lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at the WrestleMania Backlash. However, after 7 months, Flair has now gotten retribution against Rousey. Rousey will undoubtedly strive to regain her championship, and it appears that the Royal Rumble may be the event where she might get a chance.

With the return of Charlotte Flair, it’s been the cherry on top. The roster was in dire need of a top star, and with Flair’s return, the WWE Universe will get to see new things. Flair has been one of the finest female wrestlers of the current generation.

She has always been in the big picture and competed against the best talents in the business. However, during a recent appearance on WWE’s, The Bump, Flair expressed her desire to fight many wrestlers before her retirement. One of the names she mentioned was Mickie James. The only time Flair and James have shared the ring was at the Royal Rumble matches in 2019, 2021, and 2022.

James responded to WWE’s tweet and wrote, “I love you! I respect you. I’m proud of you. Fight me!”

Mickie James says Charlotte Flair operates on a different level

Back in February 2022, during an appearance on GAW TV, Mickie James heaped praise on Charlotte Flair. James, who was a part of the Royal Rumble 2022, said that the Royal Rumble 2022 was a great deal for Flair as she had entered the Rumble match as a champion.

She went on to praise Flair, noting that if male and female wrestlers are taken into account together, she would consider Flair among the best she has ever seen. James stated that Flair operates on a different level than other wrestlers.

“I thought the whole thing with her [Ronda Rousey] and Ashley [Charlotte Flair] at the end was kind of cool……I watch Ashley out there and I’m going to be honest, she is one of the best wrestlers I have ever seen in my life, male or female……and say what you will but she operates on a different level.”

Mickie James entered the Royal Rumble 2022 as the Impact Knockouts World Champion. Since leaving WWE in 2021, James has been a part of the NWA and currently wrestles at Impact Wrestling.
