“Oh, my god,” Chris Masters comments on possibly creating a fantasy scenario with former WWE Champion at the Royal Rumble
Chris Masters was known for his famous 'Masterlock' challenge in the WWE. Recently, he shared his views on his return at Royal Rumble with a dream scenario on his mind.

As the Royal Rumble 2023 approaches, fans anticipate that some big names will return, making the first step to WrestleMania. It is the biggest and most exciting event in the company. The Grandest Stage of Them All is ready to provide superstars with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.
When it came to the Ruthless Aggression era, which was within the period of 2002–2008, many superstars were at their peaks. Triple H and the Undertaker were involved in various fights. Wrestlers like Edge were fan favorites, but there were many other names who didn’t get a chance to grow as big as they could have. One of them was Chris Masters.
Chris Masters made his WWE Raw debut in 2005. Masters was unique among other wrestlers due to his great physique, which made him do muscle poses and use his full nelson finishing move known as the ‘Masterlock’. He was released in 2007, and then he worked on an independent circuit for two years. He then made another return to WWE in 2009, where he showed his talent again for the next two years until he was released again in 2011.

Chris Masters may have some unfinished business with the All Mighty

The ‘All Mighty’ Bobby Lashley and Chris Masters have had a great history of rivalry. Bobby Lashley was the first to break the Masterlock on Raw on March 19, 2007. Since then, the All Mighty has become a multiple-time champion and made his name in the WWE. He is currently one of the fiercest wrestlers on the show, and fans hope he can reignite his rivalry with Chris.
According to a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, ‘The Masterpiece’ gave hints about returning in Royal Rumble 2023 by stating his interest in Bobby Lashley’s new
finishing move ‘The Hurtlock’ which is a copy of the Masterlock.
“Oh, there’s a lot of connections there… Lashley dominating with the hurt lock….this year to petition for the Rumble. Again, it’s not as I don’t feel like I’m ever coming back to WWE full time. For me, it would just be it would be great to come back to the Rumble to,… I wasn’t able to do it there, unfortunately.”
So if this happens, if Chris Masters challenges Bobby Lashley, then people will see ‘The Mastelock vs. The Hurtlock.’ Also, who knows, if he returns at the Royal Rumble and wins it, then he can challenge Roman Reigns for the championship. But one thing is for sure: whatever happens, the Royal Rumble is going to be a roller coaster.
