Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso challenged Finn Balor and Damian Priest for their Undisputed Tag Team Championships at Fastlane. This was a match that no one saw coming, but it had fans excited for the event. Additionally, Cody Rhodes also said on Monday Night Raw that he will be going to SmackDown this week with Jey.

This will be the first time that Jey Uso will be returning to the blue brand since quitting WWE and The Bloodline. To stay away from his family and Roman Reigns, the 38-year-old decided to move to RAW. Since moving to the red brand, Jey Uso has not interacted with Jimmy Uso or Solo Sikoa.

It’s speculated that Jey Uso moved to RAW to take a break from The Bloodline storyline, possibly to set up a feud with his brother Jimmy for WrestleMania 40. The two had agreed that if they were to face each other in a singles match, it would be at WrestleMania.

The bond between Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso has been increasing day by day, taken to a different level when the two decided to challenge for the tag titles. Apart from this, Cody’s wife, Brandi Rhodes, went the extra mile as she publicly invited the former Bloodline member for a Thanksgiving dinner at the Rhodes house.

Brandi said that she heard her husband was about to become the Tag Team Champion with Jey. Therefore, she believes it was just fitting to call him for dinner. Brandi also mentioned that it is a nice spread, but only family is included in the meal, except for AEW superstar Ricky Starks. Rhodes and Starks share a special friendship from their days together on the independent circuit.

When Cody Rhodes started AEW, Ricky Starks was signed, and he is one of their top stars now. Therefore, Brandi Rhodes invited Jey Uso to make him feel at home. This comes days before the two prepare to face Damian Priest and Finn Balor at Fastlane.
