However, during a podcast with Cheap Heat, Cody Rhodes cleared up the fans’ preconceived notions. Rhodes said that he doesn’t believe Vince took his demons out on his father. He stated that it was just that Vince came up with the idea to do something interesting with his father’s character on television.

However, the WWE fans also believed that the McMahons disdained the Rhodes. To this, Cody said that the truth might rest at an equidistant point. However, the former AEW star also addressed the narrative that the McMahons may be favouring the Rhodes. He said that “It’s a fun narrative. There also might be some truth in it. There might be.” Besides, Rhodes said that the fans sometimes do not accept reality but instead stick to their prejudice.
