The American Nightmare finally gets to have his wish in WWE. As of late, Cody Rhodes has been engrossed in a neck-and-neck tussle with Shinsuke Nakamura. Their rivalry will have new chapters to add on when the two meet in a Bull Rope Match in a live event on December 26 at Madison Square Garden. It will be the first Bull Rope match since 2007, when Cody’s father, Dusty Rhodes, succumbed to Randy Orton.

This week on Raw, Cody Rhodes went one-on-one with Shinsuke Nakamura. The match delivered on fan expectations; however, the ending seemed a bit off when The Artist spewed that vicious poison mist into Cody’s face. Shin was in no mood to let Rhodes breathe easy as he turned the heat on with a number of knee strikes to Cody’s gut.

However, The Creed Brothers arrived at The American Nightmare’s aid. For quite some time, the former AEW EVP was gasping for air, and his eyes had a tingling sensation. While being escorted to the back, Cody was laid out once again by the Japanese wrestler. They’re far from over, and the fans could expect more barn-burners in their feud on Raw.

Apart from their highly anticipated clash, WWE has made a conspicuous addition to the Boxing Day house show at MSG. Having said that, CM Punk will compete in his first WWE match since 2014 at the world’s most famous arena against Dominik Mysterio. Abutting Punk’s render to the show is already paying off for the promotion. Since being announced, he has augmented ticket sales and helped move nearly 1,100 seats over the past two days.

Cody Rhodes has already declared himself for the 2024 Royal Rumble match

Last week on Raw, Cody Rhodes was the first to announce himself for the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match. After everything he went through in the last few months, The Prodigal Son sensed a bright opening on the other side of the tunnel.

However, he did not see a menacing artist known as Shinsuke Nakamura awaiting him. Once Cody gets done wrangling the thorn in the bush, he’ll have clear ground en route to St. Petersburg for the Royal Rumble.

A few weeks ago, Cody Rhodes came face-to-face with Roman Reigns on SmackDown. That staredown sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe and pretty much confirmed what’s planned in the long run. Apparently, Dusty’s baby boy will get one more shot at The Tribal Chief to end the most dominant reign of the modern era.
