Belonging to a family of WWE Superstars, Cody has a lot of potential in him to rise to the top of the wrestling industry. He made his main roster debut in 2006 and performed under the gimmick of ‘Stardust’. Despite being a great performer, he couldn’t make it to the world title.

He took his leave from WWE in 2016 after which he started performing in independent circuits. However, he returned in 2022 at WrestleMania. He was the surprise opponent for Seth Rollins and was successful in defeating him for a third time.

Rhodes got injured later having a pectoral muscle tear which prevented him from further action. He underwent a surgery later and the medical team has advised him to be out of action for almost 9 months. For this reason WWE has no plans for him in the near future.

There have been reports in the recent past that said that Cody Rhodes was actually going to be the winner of the Money In The Bank contract. He would then challenge the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns for the title and would win the titles from him.

But a different turn of the report came out today about Cody Rhodes’ plan for the title. Fightful Select’s reports revealed that “At the time that Cody Rhodes sustained his injury, Vince McMahon had not solidified plans to make Cody Rhodes the WWE or Universal Champion.”

Vince McMahon was very clear about the double title reign for Roman Reigns whereas his plans for Cody Rhodes remained very bleak. Vince had great control over the creative aspect before his retirement from the post of the WWE CEO.
