WWE officially announced Brock Lesnar Vs. Omos at WrestleMania 39 at the last Monday night Raw. MVP challenged The Beast to fight against his client, Omos, in a one-on-one bout. Since then, many fans have been raging against this decision. According to the fans, Lesnar deserved a better match than facing Omos at the Showcase of The Immortals. As the fans were continuously criticizing this matchup, one of the mainstream WWE commentators spoke in support of this booking decision. It is none other than Corey Graves.

Corey Graves has been working as a commentator on Monday Night Raw regularly for several years now. He also wrestled in NXT until 2014. However, he retired from wrestling after suffering from severe concussions.

Corey Graves is currently the host of the podcast “WWE After the Bell.” He’s also the real-life partner of Carmella. Graves has always been on the heel side of the commentary, where he supports the heel character more than the face character. Corey Graves recently talked on the topic of fans not liking Lesnar vs. Omos.

A win over Brock Lesnar would make Omos. … larger-than-life human beings collide in SoFi stadium. It is a spectacle… If Brock Lesnar manages to hoist Omos up and deliver an F5… there will not be a single ass in a single seat in all of SoFi stadium.”

Not only Brock Lesnar vs. Omos but Corey Graves is used to giving his hard opinions on creative decisions. Corey Graves was once a full-fledged wrestler himself. Graves competed in NXT, and he was doing fine while he was at it. He had a promising career in front of him. However, Graves suffered severe concussions in his NXT run that led him to retire from wrestling.

Almost a year ago, in an episode of Monday Night Raw, Corey Graves came in a little bit of action when he won the 24/7 Championship. Rumors were high for Graves’ return as a wrestler, but Graves confirmed that he does not plan to return in-ring as a wrestler soon.

It’s been a year and Corey Graves is still working as a commentator for the WWE on Monday night Raw. There is still uncertainty if Corey would ever be returning to the ring or not. But he most probably will be there as one of the voices on Monday Night Raw for a long time.
