Dominik Mysterio’s heel turn segment was a tribute to Late and Great Eddie Guerrero
Dominik Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero
Dominik Mysterio is the next big highflyer and luchador of WWE. The second-generation superstar was teaming up with Rey Mysterio his father and Edge in recent times but now he has turned heel in a major segment where he kicked Edge a low blow and even gave a takedown to his father and turned on both of them.
Dominik has been in a very big feud and even has managed to win the Smackdown Tag Team Championships with his father in the first-ever father-son tag team who won the championship. Dominik’s heel turn was awaited for a very long time as both Rey and Dominik wanted him to turn and get a push in WWE.

Dominik Mysterio copied Eddie Guerrero?
Late and Great Eddie Guerrero was one of the biggest superstars in the Ruthless Aggression era he was one of the best high flyers and even is one of the few people who pinned Brock Lesnar. He did this to win his first and only title reign as the WWE Undisputed Champion. Eddie Guerrero, unfortunately, passed away in the year 2005 in an untimely death.
Eddie was even in a tag team with Rey Mysterio in which in the end he betrayed Rey and had a feud with him for the custody of Dominik Mysterio as Eddie was claiming he was the father of Dominik. Dominik at that time was 10 and was still a part of WWE. Rey Mysterio won the whole feud after winning custody in a ladder match.
At that time when Eddie Guerrero turned on Rey, he used a full clothesline to take him down and then he kicked Rey and hence turning Heel. It seems Dominik has learned something from that and he too delivered the same clothesline to take down his father when he turned on him after his match at the Clash At The Castle.
Recently it was revealed that the whole segment of turning Dominik Mysterio’s heel on his father and his father’s tag team partner The Rated R Superstar Edge is a tribute to Eddie as the style was fully copied by Dominik and it will be interesting now what WWE have or us in this family storyline.
