Drew McIntyre is a world-travelled athlete and a well-accomplished WWE superstar. He doesn’t needs an elongated introduction for the kind of work he’s done throughout his entire career. Even after getting massive rejection from fans during his first run, McIntyre returned to WWE in 2019. By the time, the Scottish wrestler completely transformed himself.

McIntyre reached the mountain top after he defeated Brock Lesnar to capture the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36. However, the Scottish Warrior had no one to celebrate with. As known, the Covid-19 pandemic caused everything to held behind closed doors. Plus, what could’ve been his career-altering night at Clash at the Castle last year, Drew fell short, as he wasn’t prepared for an outside interference.

Touching on those points in an interview with Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Drew McIntyre discussed his future aspirations in WWE. He even mentioned getting rid of Roman Reigns’ hostage over the Undisputed WWE Universal Title and once again splitting them back. But, as a true gentleman, McIntyre made sure to give Roman his due credit for whatever he’s done for WWE in the past couple of years.

“I wanna get a title in front of live fans. I had it for 300 days with nobody there. Obviously Clash would have been an awesome moment if I was able to pull it off. Roman’s on this run of a lifetime right now. Curious to see where that goes. Ideally we’ll get those titles separated back on their respective shows and back on the live events and all over. But can’t deny what Roman’s done with them and how he’s representing [WWE] as champion.”

Well, getting to that World Title picture soon enough seems to be a far cry for McIntyre. As seen over the past few weeks, WWE has indulged the Scottish Warrior with his former arch-nemesis Sheamus. Not surprisingly though, the pairing has been a hit. Some people expressed concerns over having two former World Champions act like they’re on the same page. Given their tumultuous past with each other, McIntyre and Sheamus possess great chemistry.

As for the moment, they’re hellbent on destroying The Viking Raiders. This came after those ancient believers cost The Banger Bros an opportunity to challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag-Team titles. Last week on the blue brand, the dynamic babyfaces launched a sneak attack over The Raiders. WWE may soon book a gimmick based contest between the two teams after the magnitude of chaos they’ve created as of late.
