“He is a Phenomenal Superman” Dwayne Johnson heaps praise on Hollywood actor Henry Cavill
Dwayne Johnson, better known by his ring name “The Rock” is often called the ‘most electrifying man in sports entertainment ‘. But, The People’s Champ has surely achieved a lot not just in wrestling but in all the other fields that he has stepped into. Be it business, or Hollywood, the Brahma Bull has nailed every opportunity that has been presented to him. Dwayne has been a part of massive blockbusters like Red Notice, The Fast and The Furious franchise, Jumanji, Sky Scrapper, and many more. The wrestler turned actor also gave a big surprise to his fans when he revealed the trailer of Black Adam on June 8th.
As the newest addition to DC, the fans are excited to see Dwayne in a completely new avatar of a superhero. While there are theories already doing rounds on The Internet that the newest addition to DC Universe can face Superman in a sequel or a spin-off, The Rock recently heaped praise on The current Superman star Henry Cavill, as he called him “the greatest” Superman of our generation.

While speaking to ComicBook.com at San Diego Comic-Con this week, Johnson said- “I will say this. I will say that Henry is a buddy and he is a phenomenal Superman. He is a phenomenal Superman and Henry Cavill is the Superman of our generation with respect to the other Supermans of the past. Every time I see him, we have some tequila and I say ‘This guy is Superman.’ My longtime business partner Dany Garcia has been a passionate advocate for Henry Cavill and his career for a very, very, very long time”.
Though the director of the movie Jaume Caullet Serra has made it clear that neither Superman nor Shazam would be appearing in the movie because by the end of the movie, Black Adam doesn’t really know who they are. The director also added that the movie is an original story and revolves only around “Black Adam” and his understanding of this world. Described as being the first “anti-hero” for the DC Universe the film is all set to hit theaters on October 21st.
The film also includes stars like- Aldis Hodge (as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, and many more.
