The SAG-AFTRA strike officially ended after an agreement was reached between both parties on November 9. Since then, actors and stars have returned to their normal routine, signing up for new projects as well. Without a doubt, one of those superstars is WWE legend Dwayne Johnson. Now, The Great One will play Mark Kerr, a legendary MMA fighter, in the upcoming A24 biopic, The Smashing Machine.
Moreover, Benny Safdie, the director and producer, will collaborate with Johnson. According to the official statement, the documentary will portray the former UFC star’s struggles and addiction in the year 2000. Moreover, Mark Kerr’s stint during the no halls barred era of UFC may act as a prominent feature as well.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will seemingly have a busy schedule in the coming years. In addition to ‘The Smashing Machine’ biopic, the Brahma Bull also has prior commitments for other projects such as ‘Fast X: Part 2’ and ‘Red Notice 2’. Due to this, the WWE Universe has come to the realization that the future Hall of Famer is unlikely to appear at WrestleMania 40.
Previously, Johnson had hinted at appearing for next year’s Showcase of Immortals. Moreover, he revealed that he was set to square off against his cousin, Roman Reigns, at this year’s event. However, the plan couldn’t materialize at the last minute. Dwayne Johnson last appeared on-screen a few months ago, interrupting and laying out Austin Theory on SmackDown.
Jey Uso recently spoke about the potential dream match between Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns
Jey Uso is currently on cloud nine in the WWE. Since leaving the Bloodline on SmackDown and joining Raw, the UCE has risen in prominence on Monday nights. Despite his differences with his family, Jey recently spoke about one of the most anticipated dream matches in the WWE, The Rock vs. Roman Reigns.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, the former tag team champion claimed that the match itself would be a huge victory for his family. Surprisingly, Jey believes that no one currently could dethrone The Tribal Chief from his position. Needless to say, the bout between Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns would be for the right to claim the ‘Head of the Table’ of the Bloodline family.
It could work and I feel it would be real entertaining. That’s the two biggest stars in our family, but we’re still winning either wayJey Uso (via The Daily Mail)
Currently, the direction looks set for a WrestleMania 39 rematch between Reigns and Cody. However, this doesn’t point towards the end of the possibility of the ‘dream match’. It will be interesting to see whether Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson ever returns to the ring for another match.
