Last afternoon, when a photo of WWE CEO Nick Khan sighting The Rock talking biz with Lee Corso was taken at the Rose Bowl, the fans didn’t take it lightly, and it paid off. Later that night on Raw, The People’s Champion made an electrifying return to lay the SmackDown on a makeshift former WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal.
Apart from whatever went down after that, Dwayne Johnson also had a heartwarming backstage moment. He shared a hug with Becky Lynch, and it was pleasing to see. Don’t forget, Becky is the same woman whom The Rock personally requested to have a segment with when The Great One showed up on SmackDown’s debut on FOX in 2019.

Back then, The Rock and The Man ripped King Corbin apart, both verbally and physically. Becky’s bonding with Dwayne transcends just the squared circle. Once, during an interview, she credited The People’s Champ and John Cena for honing her acting skills.
Coming back to last night on Raw, the fans were in shambles when Jinder Mahal was originally unveiled as the former WWE Champion to appear, whom Triple H hyped on his X account. The disappointment inside the Pechanga Arena was palpable. As soon as Mahal’s music hit, the sold-out venue in San Diego basically died.
However, minutes into his promo, where Jinder cosplayed a stereotypical heel bashing the United States of America, The Rock showed up. And it all went south for the former WWE Champion since then. The Black Adam star called the Indo-Canadian wrestler a “Day 1 Douchebag.” Moreover, he compared Jinder to Baywatch, the one Rock movie no one watched. Dwayne even got physical as he delivered a People’s Elbow on Jinder Mahal.
Dwayne Johnson called out Roman Reigns on Raw
Just when everyone thought that The Rock had come in for appeasement and caught a jobber like Jinder off guard, the tables turned. After wiping off Mahal from the ring, The Brahma Bull once again got on the microphone.

He joked that, after all that havoc, he felt a bit hungry and needed to hang out in San Diego for dinner. He asked the crowd what he should do. On the third and final try, Rock wondered whether he should hang out and sit at The Head of the Table, that is Roman Reigns.
And that was the exact moment when the crowd went bonkers. For the first time on live television, The Rock called out Roman Reigns in such a capacity. Although he didn’t name Reigns, it was obvious that Johnson was referring to his cousin. And for all the good reasons, that elusive dream match might finally happen.
