Eddie Dennis was signed to the NXT UK from 2018 till its disbandment last year. The former WWE superstar recently hung his boots in the ring as he ends his decade-and-a-half-long career on RevPro.
The Welsh Wrestler fought in the RevPro Revolution Rumble against 30 other wrestlers. After he lost the match, Eddie Dennis departed from the squared circle one last time. He bid his goodbyes to the fan in attendance and later tweeted about it as well. The Welsh Dragon quoted a tweet from Attack Wrestling and writes, “My farewell to the magical world with the purple canvas.”
Eddie Dennis was a former mathematics teacher and a head teacher at a junior school. When he began his wrestling career in 2008, he managed both his jobs simultaneously. As he wanted to follow his passion, he quit his full-time teaching job almost six years ago, giving more dedication to pro wrestling.
When the 37-year-old announced his retirement, many of his fans were thinking that this might be a temporary thing. However, Eddie Dennis himself replied to his fans saying that this is legitimately the end of his career. “Don’t be sad. Be happy the last 15 years happened. I am,” Dennis said while replying to one of his fans on Twitter.

Eddie Dennis’ wrestling career
Dennis made a name for himself in the UK’s independent wrestling scene. He began his career in 2008 and has competed in various promotions, including Progress Wrestling, RevPro, and Insane Championship Wrestling. One of his most significant achievements came in 2019 when he won the Progress Wrestling World Championship, cementing his status as one of the UK’s top wrestlers.
In 2018, Triple H and the company signed Eddie Dennis while he continued to book limited dates on the Independent scene as well. He made his debut on the show as a heel character and immediately became involved in feuds with several of the brand’s top stars, including Dave Mastiff and Trent Seven. The latter of whom was one of the most notable storylines in his NXT UK career.
The feud between Trent Seven and Eddie Dennis culminated in a Steel Corners Street Fight at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff in August 2019. After the UK brand went on hiatus last year, the former Progress champion went back to the British Indies but remained without a title this time. As mentioned, Eddie Dennis drew a curtain on his career last night at the age of 37, ending his 15-year run inside the squared circle.
