WWE Hall of Famer Edge, a.k.a. Adam Copeland, is one of the greatest WWE superstars of the last two decades. Fans find him to be a kind and loving man in real life, as evident from multiple accounts from people who have worked with him over the years. Edge proved his benevolent nature once again, as seen in Sami Zayn’s recent tweet.
Zayn tweeted recently, saying, “Edge is a fantastic guy.” Sami added, “He got special ring gear made for his last event in Toronto, wore it, signed it, and is now auctioning it off, with 100% of proceeds going to SamiForSyria.com to fund our mobile clinics in Syria“. He ended his heartfelt note by sending love to the Rated-R superstar, Edge.
Along with the caption, Sami Zayn also attached a few pictures showing the gear that Edge had worn for his last contracted match with WWE. The Hall of Famer signed the attire with the date of his last match. In his recent interviews, Edge has said that he is eternally grateful for his second run with WWE, as it allowed him to have a last run on his terms.
This could not happen the first time around, as he had to retire forcefully due to multiple neck injuries. Since his return in 2020, Edge has participated in numerous matches that he considered only a dream a few years ago. The Rated R superstar faced Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, and Finn Balor, to name a few opponents. Until a few years ago, the Hall of Famer had no plans to return.
Sami Zayn revealed that he did not know about Edge’s class act

Edge donating his ring gear to Sami Zayn’s charity is a class act by all means. The Tag Team Champion praised the Hall of Famer for his actions. However, Zayn commented on his tweet, clarifying something else. He said that he did not ask Edge to do this. The 49-year-old went out of his way to reach out to the WWE Auctions and Fanatics.
Sami Zayn also stated that he found out about all this only after it ended. He revealed that Edge wanted to do this for a long time and thought that his last match’s gear would be a good way to do it. The SamiForSyria charity has been helping refugees from Syria for a few years now.
Sami Zayn, who is a Canadian, is of Syrian descent. Therefore, he makes sure that he helps people by working on a platform as big as WWE. The 39-year-old is also currently on the run of his life, as he is the tag team champion with his best friend Kevin Owens. The two won the titles in the main event of WrestleMania 39 when they defeated The Usos, ending their historic reign.
