Roman Reigns after retaining his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship
Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre battled it out in front of a lively crowd at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff tonight. Although, the match started a bit on a slower side with both men measuring each other and not really putting much offense. Tyson Fury and Karrion Kross with Scarlett Bordeaux were all sitting on the ringside watching the shenanigans unfold. McIntyre was leading the proceedings against Roman until Kross threw a water bottle at McIntyre to distract him.
The match got more even as the time passed and there was a phase of some brutal chest chops being delivered to The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion by the challenger and hometown hero Drew McIntyre. These premier athletes were literally squeezing out the breath of each other’s lungs. Reigns executed multiple spears to the Scottish Warrior but all went in vain same as for McIntyre who claymored Reigns more than just once. All Hell broke lose when the referee Charles Robinson got knocked out getting sandwiched between Reigns and McIntyre.
Mr.Money in the Bank Austin Theory also tried to cash-in his contract but he got knocked out by The Gypsy King himself who was at ringside watching the main event. Just when Drew McIntyre hit the ultimate Claymore to Reigns and the entire 62,000+ fans counted down the pinfall, a hoodie covered man pulled out the referee outside to break the count at the last millisecond possible, they guy was Solo Sikoa. Reigns then speared McIntyre to retain his titles and solidify his run even further.
WWE Universe is disappointed by the outcome of Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre
As expected, the fan backlash has been to its highest level ever since Roman Reigns retained his gold against McIntyre. Many of them believe that it was a perfect opportunity for Drew McIntyre to win the titles and take those Championships away from Reigns who’ll be working a part-time schedule moving forward.
