WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is known for his outspoken opinions on current events around the world. His recent claims on Rihanna took the internet by storm.

“Rihanna was fricken horrible,” Goldberg disses Rihanna’s Super Bowl performance

Goldberg and Rihanna

Goldberg has been one of the top names in the wrestling industry. Despite not being an active performer in the ring, he makes sure to stay active with everything happening in wrestling and even outside the wrestling world. Rihanna recently gave a massive performance during the halftime of Super Bowl LVII. The performance elicited numerous comments from celebrities from various fields, including wrestling legend Goldberg.

Rihanna’s performance was highly appreciated by all fans across the globe, but there were still some who were not very satisfied with it. WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was on the “not satisfied” side. He recently talked on the ‘CarCast podcast’ where he gave his take on the built-up hype for Rihanna’s performance.

I thought Rihanna was fricken horrible. I was disgusted by it, let’s just say that,” stated Goldberg. The WWE star wasn’t really happy with the entire event but enjoyed it since he had no stakes involved in it. He also added that the only thing he liked about the event was the Kia commercial.

The podcast’s co-host, Matt ‘The Motorator’ D’Andria, also took Goldberg’s side, but in a very subtle manner, and said that her performance was indeed boring. However, Goldberg had been very clear with his take on things and went ahead to say, “That’s the understatement of the year. I thought it was disgusting. I thought it was horrible.”

Goldberg’s second run in WWE, which started after his return in 2016, had been a golden one. He met Brock Lesnar in an enthralling rivalry and won his first-ever WWE Universal Champion. After a long, consistent run, he took a long break in 2019. After this, his appearances were reduced by a great margin.

The 56-year-old actress still has the charm and courage to enter the squared circle. His last appearance in the ring dates back to 2022 at the Elimination Chamber, where he faced Roman Reigns in a much-anticipated match. However, he lost the match to Reigns due to submission.

Goldberg is a big name in pro wrestling, and ending his career with a losing record doesn’t seem like a plausible story. His contract with the WWE is still unclear. While his relationships with WWE aren’t the best, no one can deny that Goldberg has the power to make or break any premium live event.
