Gunther remains highly optimistic about a potential clash of the ages with Brock Lesnar in the United Kingdom
If happens, Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar can shake the roof of an arena. It seems like even more than the fans themselves, The Ring General wants that match.

The Ring General wants a piece of The Beast. That being said, Gunther is not losing any hope to fight Brock Lesnar somewhere down the road. Earlier this year during the Men’s Royal Rumble match, these behemoths met for the first time. Unsurprisingly, that intimidating faceoff brought The Alamodome to their feet. After a short tussle, Lesnar was eliminated by Bobby Lashley, thus ending The Beast’s short-lived stay in the ring.
After that dream confrontation in Texas, Gunther & Lesnar haven’t crossed paths. While they’re dealing with different opponents at the moment, everyone wants them to ultimately lock horns in the future. Extending his thoughts on the same, the current Intercontinental Champion spoke with Mark Andrews. During the interview, the Austrian explained how he views that dream clash with The Beast Incarnate.
Gunther emphasized how their first meeting at the Royal Rumble was perfect. According to the former, they didn’t need to cause mayhem straightaway. Instead, the energy which people generated even without those men touching each other was magical. That’s all what it’s about. Also, the Imperium leader said he’s hoping Triple H books their match in the United Kingdom, especially with the glorifying success they’ve attained through these European tours.
“I don’t think we needed to have lots of action going on with him, get into a little scuffle and stuff, just the moment and the crowd reaction for that, it was all I needed.” Coming to the second part when The Ring General predicted Hunter’s stance on having Lesnar vs. Gunther in UK, he said, “I hope. The thing is, who knows. We had great success as Clash at the Castle, and now coming back with Money in the Bank, I’m hoping this is something that becomes a tradition where they venture out to Europe for the big events.”
Who’s the next challenger for Gunther on WWE Raw?
Last Saturday in Jeddah, The Ring General crushed Mustafa Ali’s dream to capture the Intercontinental Title. Despite a valiant effort from the local wrestler, the former NXT UK champion proved too much for him. With Night ot Champions in the rear-view, the focus now shifts towards Money in the Bank.
Being held in London, UK, Gunther is bound to wrestle there. This week on Raw, he confronted Matt Riddle in a backstage segment. Hoping for The Original Bro to grab this year’s Money in the Bank contract, Gunther asked him to cash-in that briefcase over the Intercontinental Championship.
It’s believed that Riddle will be the next victim of Gunther’s record-setting reign. He’s now less than 100 days away from becoming the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of all-time. Barring the number of days he has held that prestigious strap, he’ll surely go down as one of the greatest IC title holders ever.
