Regardless of CM Punk, this year’s Survivor Series has shaped up to be one for the history books. The event has now edged past the attendance record for the Allstate Arena, previously held by WrestleMania 22. Everything’s falling well into place for a night to behold in Chicago. And guess what? The company might have a surprise or two up their sleeves.

As per WrestleVotes, the official Survivor Series event program features a couple of notable tag teams. Having said that, the first of two is NXT stable Gallus. No other NXT group or superstar inclusion was there. However, the money lies in the other one, which is Akam and Rezar, Authors of Pain. It appears like both of the aforementioned teams will soon return to WWE television.

For the record, The AOP might have quietly inked a deal with WWE at the end of last year. However, the creative never came up with how they’d put them back into WWE programming. Notably, the signing was made when Vince McMahon forged his way back into the top hierarchy of WWE. As a result, the vision Triple H had for the main roster outings eventually capsized.

Now that Vince McMahon is no longer under any sort of creative control; the product is once again firing on all cylinders. WWE CCO Triple H is calling all the shots, and he might want to re-debut both AOP and Gallus as soon as he possibly can. This weekend’s Survivor Series could very well be the occasion where the said teams make their presence known to the WWE Universe.

How does the Survivor Series 2023 match card looks like?

Saying that this year’s Survivor Series is stacked would be an understatement. Flanked by a couple of WarGames matches, WWE has also carded a duo of title bouts. That said, Gunther will have to defend his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz.

If that’s not enough, Rhea Ripley will put her Women’s World title up for grabs against a dogged opponent in Zoey Stark. In the lone non-title singles match, Carlito will battle Santos Escobar. In the first of the two WarGames showdowns, the team of Iyo Sky, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Bayley will take on Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Shotzi.

It promises to be a slugfest and might leave the fans in awe. Now, down to the potential main event, the team of Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Randy Orton will tee off against The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre. This for real could be absolute mayhem.
