Meanwhile, JD is going through a bit of a rough patch right now, as he was the main target of everybody’s wrath when his team lost in the WarGames at Survivor Series. He even received a deadly RKO from Randy Orton the next day on Raw, and most recently, he lost the match against R-Truth in a miracle 34th Street fight in a loser leaves Judgment Day match.

While speaking on the Irish Wrestling Entertainment podcast, McDonagh explained the impact Balor has left on him. JD further added that he has been chasing his mentor for 20 years, finally being able to train with him as part of Judgment Day.

It's not just the development of the last six months, I feel like I've been chasing Finn all over the globe for 20 years and finally caught up with him in the main event of one of the big four PLEs. it's a great feeling.

Balor has provided great support throughout his career. He was the only one who believed in JD and included him in the notorious faction. The 33-year-old has seemingly fit in on Judgment Day after being called up to the main roster from NXT. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for him as a singles competitor.
