Jeff Hardy expresses disappointment with Tony Khan’s booking, reveals he feels like a “GHOST” in AEW
Jeff Hardy's concern was raised as he gets the same feeling of a 'ghost' even in AEW, which was the reason he majorly left WWE.

The Charismatic Enigma Jeff Hardy is one of the wrestling veterans who signed with AEW. Hardy has been a part of the wrestling industry for nearly three decades and started his journey with WWE (then WWF).
But his unlikely bookings in the company made him jump the guns at AEW in March 2022. But now that the time has passed, Jeff has been underutilized in the promotion and is equally disappointed with Tony Khan‘s booking.

Jeff spoke his heart out during the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast. Hardy stated his backstory, describing the time when he first came to AEW with a whole lot of excitement. But now that a year has passed, Jeff is getting the WWE feels even in this promotion without being involved in something cool. Hardy compared this to his final stint in the Stamford-based promotion, where he felt like a ghost roaming around in the backstage area.
Jeff feels like he and Matt Hardy (The Hardys) have been underutilized and can deliver much more to the business. Jeffy recalled the last time he even appeared on the podcast with his brother and stated that he had the same left-out feeling in WWE. He feels for AEW to treat him better like a real veteran.
"I said that in WWE, I felt like I was a ghost, just walking around backstage. Honestly man, I kind of still feel like that at AEW, just because of not being involved in something cool."Jeff Hardy about his ‘ghostly’ situation in AEW
Jeff is mostly seen in tag team action alongside Matt on the weekly AEW shows. His latest match happened last week when he was involved in a six-man tag team action alongside Brother Zay. With no major championship wins, Hardy is having an underwhelming run with the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Jeff Hardy wishes to see more storytelling in AEW
All Elite Wrestling is a wrestling promotion that focuses more on the sports factor, with the storyline factor driving the rivalries. However, the lack of entertainment in their product gains fewer eyeballs and falls short of being mainstream. Jeff Hardy has spoken on the same issue with his own advice.

While speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Jeff said that he would like to see entertainment-based characters in AEW. This would draw more casual fans and not limit it to hardcore wrestling fans. Hardy feels positive about those niche fans being with the company, even when its approach changes.
AEW tried a dramatic storyline recently when MJF and Adam Cole were seen bonding. The rivals were put together in a tag team, and they won a championship in the end. The ups and downs in between this period were highly entertaining and led up to All In 2023.
