WWE Superstar Jey Uso was having a fun evening in Michigan until he squandered the opportunity to gain a WarGames advantage for his team at Survivor Series. Not only did he lose to Drew McIntyre, but things also worsened afterward. During the closing shot of Raw, Cody Rhodes announced that Randy Orton will join his team to battle McIntyre and The Judgment Day this Saturday in Chicago.
That made the capacity crowd at the Van Andel Arena scream in rhapsody. However, it caused a serious concern on Jey Uso’s face. He has not forgotten what he and Jimmy did to The Viper last year in May. With a tad of assistance from their cousin, Roman Reigns, Jey and Jimmy put Randy Orton and his then-ally, Matt Riddle, on the shelf.
Even after the match was over, The Usos continued their remorseless assault on Randy. Although it was a storyline angle, it was done to take The Apex Predator off television as he had to heal from his back concerns. About 1.5 years later, Orton will mark his long-awaited comeback at Survivor Series.
It gives Jey and his buddies, including Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Sami Zayn, a massive boost ahead of their WarGames showdown. However, it may not bode well for ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso. The former Bloodline member was wrapped in trepidation as soon as Cody announced Randy Orton’s return.
Though the fans were expecting to see The Legend Killer return on last night’s show, WWE did not give it away that easily. They seemingly have a bigger stage in mind for Randy Orton to grace the WWE Universe with his presence. Well, there would not be a better place than a sold-out Allstate Arena to do the honors.
Will Randy Orton turn on Jey Uso at Survivor Series?
WWE looks set to follow up on Randy Orton’s past issues with Jey Uso. The latter did torment the 14-time World Champion when he was beefing with The Bloodline last year. On television, The Usos and Roman Reigns were the reason The Viper was on the sidelines.
In that sense, why would Randy want any sort of association with one of the former members of that group? However, since Cody Rhodes was the one who called The Apex Predator to help out his squad, Orton might not hold back for a bit. It would also give The Apex Predator an opportunity to come closer to his potential prey.
And when the WarGames match gets in the rearview mirror, The Viper may revert to his venomous tactics and RKO Jey out of nowhere. But for the moment, Team Cody Rhodes should rejoice after discovering that Randy Orton is going to be their 5th member to combat Drew McIntyre and The Judgment Day.
