WWE announces John Cena’s return to India after 17 years at Superstar Spectacle amidst the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike

John Cena is returning to WWE (via-WWE)
John Cena wasn’t lying when he said that WWE will always be his home. Despite being a full-time Hollywood sensation nowadays, the 16-time World Champion has always managed to spare some time for his WWE family. That said, brace yourselves for yet another adrenaline-filled ride. The actor-turned-wrestler is going to make his WWE return next month.
As reported by Ryan Satin of FOX Sports, Cena’s scheduled for the SmackDown episode before Payback. That’d mark his first appearance on the blue brand since last December’s one. Moreover, he’s not stopping there. John Cena will then head to India for the Superstar Spectacle event. Initially, fans were guessing whether Cena would appear in a non-wresting capacity or not.
Clearing the speculation himself, the Cenation Leader announced he’d indeed wrestle at the historic show. All this madness comes when there’s a huge strike going around in Hollywood. The authorities have named it as the SAG-AFTRA strike. That being said, it’s going to be his first-ever-match in the largest democracy of the world. Since the groundbreaking announcement of Cena’s forthcoming return schedule, the race for tickets has heaten up.
The G.M.C Balayogi Stadium in Hyderabad is on its way to sell-out. Whoever wasn’t planning to pay a visit to the show might’ve just flipped themselves around. The experience is bound to be once in a lifetime kind of thing. Having John Cena in front of a passionate Indian wrestling crowd is going to be absolutely magical. September 8th can’t come enough sooner?
Is John Cena possibly interacting with LA Knight upon his return?
One thing apart from the obvious excitement that aroused in millions of WWE fans over Cena’s return was his possible confrontation with LA Knight. Not that long ago, The Franchise Player endorsed The Megastar through his Instagram account. Fans went gaga over that post from The Peacemaker star. Their on-screen interaction didn’t happen then, however, there’s a huge possibility now.
Knight has taken over WWE in the past few months. Enough has been said about his skyrocketing popularity in the company. That said, WWE has a perfect opportunity to let Knight and Cena give everyone what they want. And, that’s a promo segment between them. It would be a certified treat for the viewers hearing two of the best trash-talkers taking some pun-intended jabs at each other.
