Johnny Gargano wants to face Former WWE World Champion and Legend as his Dream Match Opponent

Johnny Gargano made an unexpected return to the company recently and made his intentions clear after delivering a thunderous superkick to his former ally Austin Theory that he is not here to make friends anymore. He recently competed in a match against Chad Gable on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW where he successfully won the match.
Fans were elated seeing Gargano after such a long time as he didn’t look out of touch. While Gargano is somewhat involved in a current storyline with Austin Theory, he still is open to the future prospects that the company holds for him.
Johnny Gargano wants to face Rey Mysterio in his dream match
Gargano has now reflected his desire to face Top RAW star. Johnny Gargano revealed that he would like to face Rey Mysterio at some point in his life. Mysterio is currently involved in a story line with Judgement Day where his son Dominik has joined the enemy faction turning heel in the process.
But since both Gargano and Mysterio are on RAW there is quite a possibility that the two might collide in future. Speaking on “Out of Character with Ryan Satin” Gargano said- “Rey [Mysterio] would literally be a dream come true.”
Gargano said that it’s an underrated match that no one really talks about. He further praised Mysterio and said that he has been a trendsetter for guys like him. He called him The GOAT and said that Rey has been an inspiration for him.
He further explained how he made masks inspired from Mysterio during his time in WCW. Gargano said- “I used to make like little paper machete Rey Mysterio masks when he was a cruiserweight in WCW, so now to potentially get the chance to potentially get to be in the ring with him would be a dream come true.”
It’s for the fact that a match between superstars of this calibre would not be less than a visual spectacle. Also, since they both are involved in different storylines it is difficult to tell when WWE would actually be able to book a match between the two.
But, when it comes to WWE, you should never say never as anything and everything is possible in the company. Also, a feud between these two would surely be a treat to watch. Their athleticism, charisma, and in-ring work would surely be worth looking for.
