Former WWE Star Reflects on His Relationship With Vince McMahon and the Ugly Side of Wrestling Business

Vince McMahon’s hush money allegations are perhaps one of the most stunning discoveries in WWE history. Outside the squared circle, a lot is going backstage which many aren’t aware of, but certainly, everyone does know that a much darker side of the industry is still prevalent.
Ken Shamrock, former UFC Champion, also worked for WWE between 1996-1999. Shamrock recently appeared for an interview with DjVlad where he was asked about the Hush Money Allegations, which eventually led to Vince McMahon retiring from the company.
While speaking about the scandal, the Ex-WWE star said that anyone with that much power and autonomy that Vince had was bound to misuse it at that level. He said, that they only brought it to public attention this year that McMahon paid hush money, but deep down inside everyone knows how the world works.
He further spoke on the steroid controversy for which the court summoned Vince McMahon a lot of times, but Shamrock gave him a clean chit in this case. Ken Shamrock said what a superstar does to himself is his choice, and the Ex-WWE Supremo cannot be held liable. He further said people should take responsibility for their own actions.

Ken Shamrock Reveals his Current Relationship With Vince McMahon
While speaking in the same interview, the UFC Hall of Famer reflected on his current relationship with Vince McMahon. He said that McMahon never mistreated him, despite the creative differences he had with him. Though he quickly pointed out that he didn’t know if Vince had any involvement in it or not.
The Ex-WWE star said that he treats people the way they treat him, Mr. McMahon was always good to him, and that is why he also never mistreated him. Though, he quickly added that he’s not friends with Vince in any capacity and does not share a close relationship with him.

“I’m not best friends with him, right? But he’s never treated me wrong, and that’s the way it is. I don’t have a close relationship with him. I’m not friends with him, but he never treated me badly, so that’s where it stays,” Shamrock said while speaking during the interview.
Shamrock left WWE in 1999 and never returned. Today, he still continues to wrestle a light schedule for select independent promotions. Impact Wrestling is the last major promotion he wrestled for. Either way, Shamrock’s stories are undoutedly an eye-opener for those who want to know a neutral perspective.
