This week on SmackDown, Kurt Angle celebrated his 54th birthday. The Olympic Gold Medalist was seen making the rounds of the SmackDown locker room with 2020 Summer Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson.
Angle occasionally appears in the WWE, with his prior appearance being in August on an edition of RAW. Notable guests at the party were Shinsuke Nakamura, Madcap Moss, Emma, Street Profits, and many more. The Alpha Academy tried to enter the party but were denied entry as they weren’t on the list.
Kurt Angle was also surprised by his storyline son, Jason Jordan, who surprised him by presenting him with a birthday card. Jordan now works as a producer in the WWE after suffering a serious injury in 2019. The show was in Angle’s hometown, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The main event saw Angle thank the WWE Universe for the birthday celebration. He was interrupted by the Alpha Academy, who insulted him and ordered him to get out of the ring. Angle left the ring only to return with the milk truck. He was accompanied by Gable Steveson, and the two gave the Alpha Academy a milk bath, similar to the one in 2001 on RAW. The show concluded with Steveson and Angle having a milk bash.
During a recent edition of the Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic Gold Medalist stated that the original plan was to have a bunch of heels in the ring, who would insult him. He stated that he would then recreate the 2001 segment involving the Milk Truck.
“They wanted me to do the milk truck segment again, They decided to have a bunch of heels talk about me during the show, all through the show, putting me down, and ripping on me. Then, in the end, they were coming out to the ring because I was supposed to have my celebration,”

Kurt Angle recently gave an update on his wrestling career
Kurt Angle had his retirement match in the WWE in 2019. The match was against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35, and Angle was defeated. The WWE Hall of Famer wanted John Cena as his final opponent, but Cena wasn’t available at the time. Vince McMahon had offered Angle a match against Cena, but he would have to wait a year for it to happen, so Angle declined.
The Olympic Gold Medalist discussed whether he would wrestle again in a recent interview with Bill Apter of SK Wrestling. He stated that he doesn’t think that he will wrestle again. He stated that if he does, it will be a tag team match with younger talent assisting him, and his limitations will not be exposed.
“I don’t think so. I had a knee replacement five months ago. I’m good. I think I’ve had a good enough career that I’m very proud of. If it does come to be, then it will probably be a tag match like Ric Flair did so that I don’t get exposed……And I’d make sure that it was a tag match, so I was not exposed.”

The WWE Hall of Famer has had an illustrious wrestling career, but the WWE Universe still feels that he should have gotten to face John Cena in the final match of his career. As the saying goes, “Never say Never,” fans must not lose hope. Only time will tell if this happens in the future.
