The year 2022 was a decent one for Brock Lesnar in terms of his WWE career. The Beast Incarnate won the WWE Championship for the seventh time in his career. He won his first-ever Elimination Chamber match by entering it for the first time.

Lesnar was then involved in a rivalry with Roman Reigns, which culminated at SummerSlam in a Last Man Standing match. Brock Lesnar was then involved in a brief rivalry with Bobby Lashley, whom he defeated at the Crown Jewel. That was Lesnar’s last appearance in 2022, and he hasn’t appeared in 2023 as of yet.

Lesnar has always been in the top card and has feuded with the top names in the company. Lesnar’s most memorable rivalry was with Kurt Angle. The two put on some fantastic bouts during their feud. The Iron Man match between the two on the September 16, 2003, edition of SmackDown is regarded as one of the finest matches of all time.

Though Brock Lesnar wasn’t much of a talker, he managed to create a massive fan base. After recovering from neck surgery in 2003, Angle soon became part of the rivalry between Big Show and Brock Lesnar.

Even though they were competing for the Championship, Lesnar and Angle were involved in friendly banter backstage. The two seemed to be allies and were often involved in comedic segments. One such segment involved friendly pushes between the two that turned a little aggressive.

Angle today, posted a video of the segment and gave a light-hearted warning to Brock Lesnar. Angle wrote, “Be careful who you push!!! lol. @BrockLesnar”

Back in 2021, during an appearance on Hannibal TV, Kurt Angle once spoke about defeating Brock Lesnar in a shoot wrestling match. He stated that Lesnar was approached by a backstage official about wrestling against him.

Kurt Angle said that Lesnar told the official that Angle was too small and he would defeat him easily. The Olympic gold medalist, wanting to prove himself, challenged Lesnar to a fight in the ring. Angle said that Lesnar didn’t want to do it barefoot and so backed down.

Angle stated that he challenged Brock Lesnar to an amateur wrestling match a week later. The WWE Hall of Famer said that he was about to face Big Show, but Lesnar, who happened to be there in the ring, accepted the challenge. Angle said that they wrestled for 10 minutes, and he took down Lesnar just once. He said that there were times when he almost took the beast incarnate down but fell into the ropes.

“Hey, Brock. How do you think you’d fare against Kurt Angle? and he said, ‘I’m too big for him. I’m a lot bigger than him. He’s too small. I’d kick his ass……Let’s do it in bare feet. He said, ‘I’m not going to do it in bare feet……There was only one takedown. We wrestled for about 10 minutes. There was a couple of times I almost took him down that he fell into the ropes. I did take him down and that was it.”

The Royal Rumble poster also features Brock Lesnar, so fans are expecting him to be a part of the Rumble match. It has also been speculated that The Beast Incarnate might face Gunther at the grandest stage of them all.
